Shreemati Shipping Policy


1. Shipping Costs

  • Free Shipping Threshold: Orders with a total value of ₹50,000 or more incur no shipping charges.

  • Charges for Lower Orders: Orders below ₹50,000 are subject to applicable shipping costs.

  • Exclusions: Free shipping does not include:

    • Cash on Delivery (COD) charges

    • Taxes, duties, or levies

    • Discounts, coupons, or promotional reductions

  • Non-Refundable: Shipping charges are non-refundable in case of return, cancellation, or partial refund.

  • Modification Rights: Shreemati reserves the right to change shipping charges at any time without prior notice. Updated charges will reflect on product pages and checkout flow.

  • Legal Compliance: Charges comply with Indian consumer protection and e-commerce laws.


2. Shipping Methods & Logistics

  • Shreemati-Fulfilled Orders: Shipped via company logistics partners to direct service locations.

  • Vendor-Fulfilled Orders: Shipped via vendor’s own logistics or third-party couriers.

  • Easy Ship Option: Vendor stores and packs products; Shreemati handles delivery to customers.

  • Self-Ship Option: Vendor stores, packs, and delivers products using own or third-party logistics.

  • Operational Days: Shipping occurs Monday–Saturday, excluding Sundays and National Holidays.

  • Tech Integration: Inventory and shipment updates are synced via Shreemati platform; vendors must maintain real-time stock and order status.


3. Delivery Agents & Responsibilities

  • Pickup & Delivery: Delivery agents pick up from vendor/seller and deliver to buyer.

  • Vendor Obligations:

    • Pack products according to standards to prevent damage.

    • Schedule pickups promptly to meet delivery timelines.

  • Risk Transfer: Risk transfers from vendor to buyer upon successful delivery and signature acknowledgment.

  • Legal Implication: Signature at delivery (including by recipient) constitutes proof of delivery and transfer of responsibility.


4. Locations & Coverage

  • Domestic Coverage: Courier partners cover most locations in India; remote areas serviced by Indian Postal Service.

  • International Shipping: Limited, requires customer contact for special arrangements.

  • Non-Serviceable Locations: If a location cannot be serviced, Shreemati will contact the buyer; if unresolved, the order is cancelled and payment refunded.

  • Tech Aspect: Platform auto-validates PIN codes for shipping eligibility at checkout.


5. Delivery Times

  • Classification:

    • Regular Orders: Shipped same or next day from warehouse/vendor.

    • Large/Special Orders: Shipped within 2 weeks.

  • Estimated Delivery: Domestic: 1–7 business days; international: 7–21 business days or more.

  • Tracking: Real-time tracking via Shreemati platform; updates sent via email/SMS.

  • Disclaimer: Delivery dates are tentative; subject to logistics, vendor compliance, and Force Majeure.


6. Cash on Delivery (COD)

  • COD available only for orders less than ₹25,000 and vendor seller offer.

  • Availability depends on courier/vendor coverage.

  • Products under COD delivered by courier or authorized vendor representative.

  • If COD is unavailable, refunds processed per refund policy.

  • Legal Note: COD restrictions are communicated upfront at checkout; vendor liability limited if COD conditions are not met.


7. Packaging & Safety Compliance

  • Vendors must adhere to:

    • Secure packaging standards to prevent damage.

    • Labelling & compliance marks per product type (electronics, apparel, etc.).

  • Non-compliance may result in order rejection or vendor liability for damages.

  • Technology: Integration with Shreemati platform ensures vendors upload packaging confirmation before shipping.


8. Delivery Failures & Returns

  • Delivery agents attempt 3 deliveries before returning the package to the warehouse.

  • Correct contact information is mandatory for successful delivery.

  • Return Policies:

    • Vendor-fulfilled orders follow vendor’s return policy.

    • Shreemati-fulfilled orders follow Shreemati’s policy.

  • Shipping charges for returned/cancelled items are non-refundable, unless due to Shreemati/vendor error.


9. Tracking & Notifications

  • Buyers receive courier name, tracking number, and estimated delivery date via email/SMS.

  • Tracking updates reflect on Shreemati platform in “My Orders” section.

  • Delays due to courier scanning or external factors (customs, weather, force majeure) are not liability of Shreemati/vendor.


10. Legal & Compliance Aspects

  • Shipping and delivery policies comply with:

    • Indian Contract Act 1872

    • Consumer Protection Act 2019

    • IT Act 2000 for digital confirmations and e-signatures

    • Indian e-commerce regulations regarding shipping, cancellations, and refunds

  • Vendor and Shreemati must maintain insurance coverage:

    • Product liability

    • General commercial liability

    • Shipping insurance for high-value orders


11. Liability & Risk Management

  • Risk transfers to buyer upon confirmed delivery and signature.

  • Shreemati/vendor not liable for:

    • Delays due to customs, government regulations, or force majeure events

    • Damages after delivery

    • Incorrect recipient signature acceptance

  • Vendors may opt for shipping insurance for extra protection.


12. Technology & Automation

  • Real-time inventory, order processing, and shipping updates integrated into Shreemati platform.

  • Vendors must update stock levels promptly to avoid overselling.

  • Platform supports automated notifications for buyers regarding:

    • Order confirmation

    • Shipping updates

    • Estimated delivery dates

  • Data privacy compliance under Indian IT Act & Data Protection rules enforced for all shipping-related information.


13. International Shipping

  • Limited international delivery is available.

  • Special arrangements require customer care coordination.

  • Customs, duties, and taxes for international shipments are the buyer’s responsibility.

  • Delivery times depend on local regulations and international logistics partners.
